Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Orthodox Christian community of the country on Easter, wishing everyone joy, good health and well-being, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
The president emphasized that Azerbaijan was always nurturing the preservation of high moral and ethical values and tolerance while preserving its cultural and ethnic identity, language and culture.
Aliyev noted that all national and religious minorities, including Orthodox Christians, had their worthy place in Azerbaijani society, contributing to inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations, development of civic society, engaging in the socio-political and the socio-cultural life of the country.
