Veterans of Stavropol Territory will get free tickets for any public transport, including taxis, during the upcoming May holidays. Unlike on previous holidays, veterans will get free taxi rides on May 3-12 this year, Interfax-South reports.
Six taxi companies in Stavropol, five in Pyatigorsk, two each in Georgiyevsk and Nevinnomyssk and one each in Mikhaylovsk, Neftekumsk, Izobilny, Zelenokumsk and the Stepnovsky District.
Celebrations of Victory Day started in the region on January 21, the Day of the Liberation of Stavropol from the German invasion. Municipalities installed 37 countdown clocks for the 70th anniversary of Victory. Victory Forests are being planted, increasing the number of trees in Stavropol Territory by 80,000.
