Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia awarded Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with the first-grade order of Sergius of Radonezh at a reception dedicated to the Orthodox Easter.
Lavrov was receiving the award due to his political efforts that have benefited the Russian Orthodox Church and in connection to his 65th birthday," RIA Novosti reports.
