The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts today will begin the second phase of the trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The jury must decide whether Tsarnaev should be put to death or spend the rest of his life in prison.
17 of the 30 charges against him may carry the death penalty, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports. The defendant pleads not guilty.
