New mosque to be erected in Karachay-Cherkessia's Ersakon

Imam Asmat Shardan of the Ersakon mosque (Adyghe-Khablsky District, Karachay-Cherkessia) said that a new one will be built. He reminded that the existing mosque had stood for about 100 years and was in bad condition. Moreover, it is too small for the congregation, focing some people to wait outside in any weather. The new mosque would hopefully have room for visitors from Novo-Kuvinsk, Abaza-Khabl and Tapanta, where no mosques have been built yet, RIA Karachay-Cherkessia reports.

The new mosque in Ersakon will cover about 300 square meters and have room for 600 congregants. Its construction will begin in 2017. The foundation has already been completed, the wall construction is ongoing.
