Azerbaijan celebrates 19th anniversary of state independence act

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the adoption of the Azerbaijani constitutional act of state independence. On 30 August 1991 the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan adopted the declaration of the restoration of state independence. The act notes that Azerbaijan was an independent state from 1918 to 1920, recognized by the international community.
