An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kazakhstan on May 6, a representative of the Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee of Kazakhstan said.
"The earthquake occurred at 03:51 local time, 209 kilometers to the east of the city of Almaty," Trend reports.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 25 kilometers. Tremors were not felt.
