Victory Park in Dushanbe has hosted a parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War today. The parade was attended by over 10 thousand soldiers of the armed forces of Tajikistan and the Ministry of the Interior and the National Guard.
"The Second World War is one of the most tragic wars in human history, and people and families of different nations of the world still feel its terrible consequences, including the Tajik people," Interfax cited the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rakhmon.
"The great victory was achieved as a result of the collective struggle of the peoples and became an example of freedom-struggle for various peoples and nations," the President said.
