Islamic State to elect stand-in leader for injured Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Islamic State plans to elect a stand-in leader to handle day-to-day affairs instead of the injured Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Baghdadi has been moved from Iraq to the Syrian city of Raqqa. This was done because the military of Iraq together with the Kurds plan to start a summer operation to liberate Mosul from the Islamists, RIA Novosti reports.
