Owing to the coordinated work of the security services, today we can say that terrorism is defeated in Ingushetia, Ingush leader Yunus-bek Yevkurov told the Russian News Service in a broadcast.
He noted that this threat has not been completely removed. "Unfortunately, there are 14 individual members of criminal organizations in the region who are on wanted lists. But they have accomplices, who can bring up new bandits,’’ Interfax cites Yevkurov.
Yevkurov noted that the fight against these bandits is a very difficult task, because they are well trained and have defence skills, saying "this is complex operational work."
"Besides, we have every reason to suppose that these militants are being trained abroad. We see that these guys have serious skills that they could have received from foreign security services. It’s impossible to get such skills here, in Ingushetia," Yunus-bek Yevkurov concluded.
