Memorial to Holocaust victims vandalized in Yerevan

A memorial to victims of the Holocaust built in 2006 in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, has been vandalized. The vandals drew a swastika with red paint and wrote "death to jews", Armenia Today reports.

The memorial symbolizes the sufferings of the Jewish people and is located in the center of Yerevan, near the "Aragst" cafe at Koltsevidniy park.

It is not the first vandalism of a Holocaust memorial in Armenia. An obelisk to Holocaust victims, which had been built before the memorial, was vandalized several times.
