The Russian Supreme Court has lightened the sentence of ISIS (a terrorist group banned in Russia) recruiter Zelimkhan Shapayev from 5 to 4.5 years in a penal colony, Interfax reports.
Shapayev recruited several friends in 2013 to fight for ISIS in Syria. He promised them financial rewards. The Astrakhan Regional Court sentenced Shapayev to 5 years of jail at a penal colony on March 4.
