The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has sent special transport to Crimea to evacuate a seriously ill newborn baby and his mother, who are in urgent need of high-quality medical care, according to the agency.
"Today, an AN-148 plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations flew from Ramenskoye airfield to Simferopol. The woman and the newborn boy with heart disease will be delivered to the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of Perm," RIA Novosti cites a message of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.
The aircraft is equipped with high-tech medical units and special equipment, which allows normal functioning of the body to be maintained and, if necessary, to provide medical care to the seriously ill during flight.
