A 12-year-old girl was killed in an incident involving a passenger train on the Kislovodsk-Moscow route in Stavropol Territory, according to the North Caucasian Regional Emergency Center of Russia.
"The child, apparently trying to cross the railroad tracks, was hit by a train and was admitted to hospital where she died from her injuries," Interfax quotes a source in the emergency services of the region.
The incident involving a train at an uncontrolled railway section on Zheleznodorozhnaya Street was reported to the duty shift at 10:55, the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated.
