Man charged with cruelty to animals pardoned in Krasnodar

The Prikubansky District Court of Krasnodar has closed the case of Alexey Kiselev, 32, suspected of cruelty to animals, as an act of amnesty on the 70th Anniversary of Victory, Interfax reports.

The man was suspected of hanging a jackal and a raccoon under the canopy of a parking lot. When passers-by found the animals, the jackal had died and the raccoon had suffered from hypothermia and dehydration, resulting in death at a veterinary clinic six days later.
