An Il-76 plane of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has delivered from Syria to Moscow 80 nationals of Russia and CIS member-countries who expressed the desire to leave the conflict zone.
"The Il-76 flight from Latakia landed at Moscow’s Domodedovo’s airport. It carried 80 people, including 66 citizens of Russia, 7 citizens of Belarus, 4 of Ukraine and 3 of Uzbekistan," TASS cited the press service of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry. There are 34 children among the passengers, including little babies.
During the flight the passengers were accompanied by Emergencies Ministry officers and psychologists.
On May 28 this plane delivered more than 21.5 tons of humanitarian aid to Latakia. Assistance to Syria is rendered by order of the Russian government.
