Residents and visitors of Sochi will celebrate the official opening of the summer holiday season today with a parade of resorts and a circus carnival.
Because of bad weather, the official opening of the summer holiday season was postponed from the beginning of May. However, for more than a week there has been warm weather in Sochi, tourists and residents are filling the beaches and swimming in the sea. It was decided to mark the beginning of the summer season with celebrations throughout the city. The city's main celebration will be the Sochi Carnival– Parade of Resorts, which will bring together leading players in the health resort industry of the city, including "Rosa Khutor", "Sky Park", "Sochi Park", "Dolphin Park of the Riviera", the leading health resorts and hotels of Sochi.
Because of the Olympics, Sochi has become a year-round resort. The ski center Krasnaya Polyana held the record for the length of the ski season – the ski slopes were busy 149 days. Now the resort is ready to offer tourists other types of active rest. 153 equipped beaches will offer all the conditions for a comfortable beach holiday for tourists
