A Christian-Assyrian who is fighting the extremist group Islamic State has beheaded one of the militants as a sign of revenge for the killing of people in the northeast of Syria.
The Assyrian, according to the Syrian human rights organization Observer, found the militant in a village and took him hostage. When he found out that the hostage was fighting on the side of ISIS, he beheaded him as a mark of revenge, Interfax reports.
It should be noted that Christians are fighting ISIS as part of the Kurdish units. Since early May, militants have seized more than a dozen Assyrian villages. These seizures are accompanied by public beheadings, mass executions, slavery and rape.
