300 houses in flood-stricken Krasnodar cannot be repaired

Over 300 houses in the Tuapsin and Apsheron regions of Krasnodar Territory cannot be repaired, experts say, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Southern Regional Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.


Heavy rains on October 16 in the Krasnodar Territory caused the rivers to overflow. 30 villages were damaged, mainly in three regions, Tuapsin, Apsheron and a region near Sochi.


The government will issue 2 billion rubles as compensation.


1,498 out of 1,802 houses need repairing, 304 houses housing 218 families cannot be repaired.


5,100 people were affected by the flood, over 1,800 houses and 32 social facilities were damaged. 16 people died.
