Heavy rains in the Zolskiy district of Kabardino-Balkaria have caused the water level in local rivers to rise, leading to the flooding of two villages, the head of the press service of the regional emergency department Cantemir Berov reported.

 

"As a result of intense precipitation in the form of rain that led to a rise in the water levels in mountain rivers, there was a flooding of the villages of Kichmalka and Prirechnoe in the Zolskiy district.  Temporary bridges, which were built at the beginning of the week, have been destroyed between the villages of Oktyabrskoe and Shordakovo, and in the village of Shordakovo," Tass quotes him as saying.
