Russian tourist Alexey Shcherbak died from injuries sustained during playful combat with a German citizen, Richie Burckhardt, who was on vacation, in the resort town of Serik in the province of Antalya.
"The two tourists got acquainted in the hotel where both of them were staying. The incident took place late on Thursday after they had drank in the hotel bar, located next to the beach. The friends left the bar and on the way to their rooms in the hotel were joking with each other," Interfax quotes the post of the Turkish Internet portal BGN News.
At some point, the friends decided to arrange a playful fight, during which the Russian slipped, fell and hit his head on the floor, which resulted in a serious injury. Medics who arrived at the scene of the accident were unable to save his life.
