According to Adviser to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Ilnitsky, the Russian army and the Defense Ministry are to use social networks and the Internet in order to communicate with the public.
‘‘We understand this important part of our work. The situation is that people receive information by means of the Internet, and it would be foolish not to use it,’’ RIA Novosti cites him.
