Yesterday evening in the resort city of Gelendzhik the summer holiday season opened with a mass carnival procession and fireworks.
The show program, consisting of more than 50 musical and dance numbers, was attended by more than 2000 amateur and professional artists, the city administration reports, Interfax writes.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Acting Governor of Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev. Addressing the gathering, he said that in Gelendzhik there are the necessary conditions and infrastructure to transform the resort into one of the centers of international tourism on the Black Sea coast.
