The Deputy Mayor of Sochi, Yevgeny Gorlov, has been hospitalized with concussion after a conflict with local residents. The official was attacked by the resident of a building which was not connected to the sewage system, despite the relevant regulations of the authorities.
"The authorities of Sochi are targeting combating illegal slopes of wastewater to runoff channels that violate the environment of the Black Sea. In the house where the attacker is living there was no connection to the sewage system, even though orders to eliminate violations were issued long before the inspection," the city administration said, TASS reports.
