Russian military prepare for landing of ISS crew in Kazakhstan

Russian military prepared to meet three of the six members of the ISS crew, Anton Shkaplerov, Samantha Cristoforetti and Terry Virts, who will return to Earth on June 11. 


The Soyuz TMA-15M spacecraft is expected to land in Kazakhstan at 16:40 (MSK), the representative of the Central Military District, Colonel Jaroslav Roshupkin, said.

The meeting will involve about 200 soldiers, 14 Mi-8 helicopters with special equipment on board, 4 An-12 and An-26 airplanes and 15 units of vehicles, including 4 search and recovery terrain vehicles, Roshupkin added.
