Iranian oil tanker saved from pirates

The Iranian destroyer Alborz has saved an oil tanker from pirate attack in international waters, IRNA agency reports with reference to the deputy commander of the Iranian Navy, Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi.

"The well-timed presence of the Iranian naval forces at the scene made the pirates run away from that region," TASS cited Mousavi as saying.
