According to North Ossetian Healthcare Minister Taymuraz Revazov, 488 people (297 adults, 191 children) requested medical assistance after getting poisoned by tap water. 257 people (107 adults, 150 children) were hospitalized, TASS reports.
About 1,000 may be poisoned, considering that many prefer self-treatment to seeking medical aid. Drug stores are practically out of medicine to treat intestines, people buy all they can to cure themselves, the minister explains.
