Flood-stricken Krasnodar Territory receives 1.1 billion rubles to clear damage

The government of Russia has provided 1.1 billion rubles to the
Krasnodar Territory to clear up the damage caused by the flood earlier
in October in the Tuapsin and Apsheron regions. Russian Premier
Vladimir Putin signed the document, ITAR-TASS reports.


The funds will be used to restore damaged housing, 100 000 rubles per
house, and for construction of new housing for those that lost their
houses, 3 million rubles for new housing and facilities.


The Russian Finance Ministry was ordered to provide the finances in 5
days. the Russian Ministry of Ecology and Russian Hydrometeorology and
the Environment Monitoring Agency will develop a program for
hydrometeorological studies in Krasnodar Territory and development of
a network of hydrometeorological stations on the rivers of the Black
Sea coast.
