The official visit of the Azerbaijani president to Kiev today was completed by the signing of a joint declaration and the Protocol of the second session of the Council of the Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as well as an Agreement on cooperation in archiving, signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries, Trend reports.
Ilham Aliyev and Victor Yanukovich told a press conference that mutual ties would continue to develop and strengthen in many spheres as a result of their meeting. Both leaders expressed confidence that active cooperation would accelerate on many levels, underlining their geopolitical links in relation to energy and transport between the Caspian and Black Seas as well as trade and the economy, in which Ukraine is Azerbaijan‘s second largest partner.
