The main police headquarters in Baku held an operational meeting on
the results of the nine months of this year, Trend reports.
The deputy head of the Baku police, Police Major General Elkhan
Hasanov, gave extensive information on the fight against crime,
ensuring public order and safety measures taken in other areas of
service and operational activities during the reporting period, the
press service of the department reported on Friday.
According to him, 8,030 crimes, 6,992 (87 percent) of which weren't
serious and didn't pose a serious danger to society, were reported in
Baku during the nine months. The remaining 1,038 crimes (13 percent)
were serious or very serious.
The Baku police have set up a hotline in order to strengthen ties with
the community and promptly consider complaints and suggestions from
citizens in connection with the forthcoming elections to the Milli
Majlis.
