Russian authorities to unite Russian language world space -- senior Kremlin official

Russian authorities will take measures to consolidate the Russian language world
space, the head of the presidential administration, Sergey Naryshkin,
said at the opening of the second international festival of Russian
language radio stations in Moscow, Trend reports.


The festival is held in Moscow from October 31 to November 3. It is
held by the association of Russian language broadcasters and radio
company "Golos Rossii" (Voice of Russia), supported by the Federal

Representatives of state and commercial Russian language radio
stations of CIS, Europe, Asia and USA were invited. Over 20 countries

Russian broadcasters have an 8-10 million-strong audience.
The first international festival of Russian language radio stations
showed that journalists from various countries need improving ties and
switching to regular professional cooperation. Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev supports the broadcasters.

The festival saw a presentation of a project involving the establishment
of an internet portal for members of the international unity of
Russian language broadcasters, providing Russian language radio,
television and online channels to over 30 countries.


The portal will offer reports, interviews, photos, videos. The site
will feature an archive with thematic programs about politics, social life,
culture of its member-countries. The portal will publish news about
the life of Russian speaking communities abroad.
