Chechnya plans to construct 3 all-year children's recreation camps for
2700 children in 2011, Yuga.ru reports.
The camps will be built in the villages of Avtur and Serzhen-Yurt in
the Shalin region, where major camps used to be located. The Deputy
Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Development of Chechnya,
Ayndi Husayenov, said that it is a matter of financing.
He said that children are currently visiting regions of the North
Caucasian Federal District and the South Federal District for
health-improvement. This leads to additional expenses of from 25 to 30
million rubles annually and reduces the number of children visiting
such camps by 1500-2000.
Construction of the camps will increase employment, provide additional
income and reduce expenses on transporting children. Establishment of
a pedagogic group, based on the Chechen State University and the
Pedagogic Institute, will provide employment for the youth.
The Chechen budget has provided 377 million rubles for the recreation
and health-improvement of children in 2010. This sum is no lower than
the budget of the social insurance fund of Russia for 2009, Husayenov
said.
