The Georgian Minister of Education and Science, Dmitry Shashkin, has
confirmed information about the dismissal of 8 school headteachers in
Tbilisi, saying that they had filed their resignation notices, Georgia
Online reports.
The minister clarified that the ministry cannot dismiss the
headmasters, according to the law. The headmasters can file
resignation notices, which are considered by the school board.
Earlier there had been information that the headteachers had resigned
due to protests by senior pupils against qualification examinations.
