The Azerbaijani Cabinet has approved a detailed general plan on
conserving the historic center of Baku, the Cabinet’s official website
says.
The decision was made based on a proposal by the State History and
Architecture Reserve ‘Icherishekher’, and approved by the Ministry of
Economic Development, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State
Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture and the National Academy
of Science of Azerbaijan.
The decision of the Cabinet came into force on the day of signing, November 8.
The plan was made by a group of international experts for regulating
and planning a single policy within the framework of the strategy of
preserving and protecting historic monuments.
