Earthquake hits Turkey

An earthquake measuring 4.9 points on the Richter scale hit Turkey on
Monday, Trend reports, citing Cihan.


The quake began at 01.08 (local time) in Iskenderun, and was 2.5 km
deep,  Bogazici Üniversitesi Kandilli Rasathanesi ve Deprem Araştırma
Enstitüsü said.


The earthquake caused panic in some coastal areas. There is no
information on injuries or damage.
