Approximately 20 hectares of forest were burned down in Georgia"s
Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, including territories of the National Park,
the press-service of the Forest Agency said, News Georgia reports.
The fire started on Saturday and was dealt with by Sunday.
The fire is believed to have been caused by negligence. Vestnik
Kavkaza reported earlier that a major fire was threatening the Russian
military base in Akhalgor forest.
