Frankfurt will host the First Congress of World Azerbaijani Youth on
November 26-28. The event was organized by the State Committee for
Communities, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, approved
by the decree of Azerbaijani president.
The main goal of the congress is promoting Azerbaijan abroad with the
help of Azerbaijani youth. The congress will stimulate youth
organizations to realize their interests in the promotion of
Azerbaijan and participation of technological processes.
The event will promote Azerbaijani youth living abroad to take part in
social and political activities and strengthen ties with their
homeland. Officials of the Azerbaijani government, Azerbaijani
embassies in Russia, France, Austria, Germany, UK, Switzerland and
Turkey, as well as officials of the Council of Europe, Turkish
Parliamentary Assembly, European Court for Human Rights, heads of
Azerbaijani youth organizations, heads of Azerbaijani communities
living abroad and active students studying in foreign universities
will be at the congress.
The Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia plans to send a major
delegation to the congress. Germany plans to discuss the role of youth
in the work of communities and development of inter-cultural dialogue,
integration of Azerbaijani youth into the country it lives in, and
protection of human rights.
At the end of the congress the sides plan to establish the World
Society of Azerbaijani Youth. A Virtual Sunday School presentation
will take place within the event.
