Georgia to scrap some education programs

The draft state budget for 2011 introduced by the Georgian government in parliament excludes a few educational programs. This was announced today by a member of the party "Our Georgia - Free Democrats," Nino Goguadze, Business-Georgia reports.

As stated by Goguadze, the funding of the promoting of higher education institutions has been decreased by 6 million lari, financing of vocational training centers - by 3 million lari, and the funding of gifted children and youth programd amounted to 1.2 million lari.
