An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale took place today in Iran, RIA Novosti reports, with reference to the Iranian news agency IRNA.
According to them, the earthquake started at 06.03 local time (5.33 Moscow time) close to the village of Dehgolan, located in the province of Kurdistan in the northwestern part of the country.
So far there is no information about casualties or damage.
