Georgia has suspended imports of medicines for the HIV-infected. This became known from an anonymous letter sent to the TV company "Rustavi 2", BusinessGeorgia reports.
A few weeks ago a non-governmental organisation working on HIV prevention also learned about the problem.
The medicines had been imported to Georgia with the financial support of the Global Fund. To reduce expenditure the fund decided to buy on the international market.
The Health ministry of Georgia asked the Fund to re-examine its decision.
