The district court of Salyan has considered the appeal of well-known
blogger Emin Milli and decided to release him, Trend reports, citing
his lawyer Isakhan Ahurov. The court gave a suspended sentence instead
of the remaining prison sentence.
The Appeal Court of Baku released fellow blogger Adnan Gadzhizade on
Thursday after a similar decision.
Gadzhizade and Emin Milli were arrested on July 8 last year after an
incident in a restaurant in Baku. They were accused of hooliganism.
Gadzhizade and Milli were sentenced to 2 and 2.5 years in prison,
respectively.
