Bus with Azerbaijani pilgrims crashes in Turkey

FFive people died and 29 were injured in an accident with a bus
carrying Azerbaijani pilgrims in Turkey, Trend reports, citing Turkish
agency Anadolu.


Police sources in Turkey say that the accident was caused by the bus
driver losing control of the vehicle. The bus went off the road and
turned over, RIA Novosti reports, citing NTV.


The accident happened in the Sharkyshla district of Sivas Province, in
the central part of Turkey. The bus had 30 people inside. Locals are
helping evacuate the injured.


Trend reports, citing a reliable source, that the bus number is “90 DS 393”.
This year the number of Azerbaijani pilgrims has been exceptionally
high. On Monday, Mustafa Mamishev died after a car accident while
returning from pilgrimage in Mecca.


75-year-old Dukha Mamedova from the Jalilabad Region died in Mecca and
Khanbala Atakishiyev, 71, and Mafi Nazarov, 68, died in Syria.


A total of 2000 Azerbaijani pilgrims went on Hajj this year.
