The Russian Investigation Committee has put State Duma deputy Ashot
Yegiazaryan, suspected of fraud, on the federal wanted list. He may
soon be on the international wanted list if the investigation
determines he has left Russia, RIA Novosti reports, citing committee
spokesman Vladimir Markin.
According to the investigation, in 2002 and 2003 Yegiazaryan offered
his friend Mikhail Ananyev a part in financing the construction of a
trade complex on Rublyovskoye Highway in Moscow and the reconstruction
of the 'Moscow' Hotel.
The investigation believes that Yegiazaryan did not fulfill the
agreements and used the money, equal to over 500 million rubles,
received from Ananyev, for his own purposes.
