Armenian Ministry of Education ready to support church initiatives

The Armenian Ministry of Education and Science is always ready to
implement any church initiative in the sphere of education, Education
Minister Armen Ashotyan said today at the ceremony celebrating the
15th anniversary of the faculty of Theology of Yerevan State
University, news.am reports.

The faculty of Theology of Yerevan State University was founded in
1995 by the efforts of the Honorary Doctor of the Armenian Academy of
Science and Yerevan State University, doctor of philosophy and
philology, Archbishop, Shahe Achemyan, who became the first dean of
the faculty.

The faculty has three departments - theology, religious foundations
and history and history of the Armenian Church.
