Around 2,000 young people took part in an "Islam against Terror" march on April 20, the Nashi political movement.
The event was suggested by Muslim youth in Moscow who were shocked by the recent terrorist attacks in the subway.
"Muslims are very concerned about the possible emergence of xenophobic attitudes in society due to terrorists and criminals who murder people," the statement said.
The rally is aimed to prove that terrorism has no religion or nationality, and to urge people to unite in the fight against terrorism.
The march was held along the Taras Shevchenko Embankment.
