A new criminal case was initiated in Stavropol Territory on the fight
between Chechens and Cossacks, with use of weapons including firearms.
The fight in Zelenokumsk on November 26 resulted in 8 people injured,
Yuga.ru reports.
A group of young people in Zelenokumsk decided to help a teenage girl
who had complained about local Chechens trying to force her into their
car. The young people opened fire at the Chechens. A criminal case was
initiated for hooliganism.
The investigation of the Soviet District initiated three more cases
for medium injuries, intentional harm out of hooliganism and
intentional damage of property.
Two detained Chechens were released on December 1. Ayup and Magomed
Gafarovs are now witnesses in the case, while Magomed is also a victim
in the case. The elder brother, Isa Gafarov, is still in detention. He
was using firearms.
On December 2 a new criminal case was initiated for hooliganism
committed by a group against one of the Gafarovs, the investigation
says.
