Azerbaijani president congratulates Russia on World Cup 2018 bid

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Russian
counterpart, Dmitry Medvede on Friday on his country being named the
host for the World Cup 2018, Azertag reports.

"I heartily congratulate you and the people of Russia on the occasion
of receiving the right to host the World Cup in 2018. I am glad that
Russia once again became the center of gravity of the world and the
sports community" the letter says.
