Georgian Parliament loosens restrictions on alcohol advertising

The Parliament of Georgia on Monday discussed a bill on the time slots
for alcoholic beverage advertisements on Georgian television, News-Georgia reports.

According to the existing law, alcoholic beverages can only be
advertised after 22:00. The parliament is due to enact a law which will come into force from January 1, 2015. According to the new law, advertising of alcoholic beverages will be allowed from 20:00.
