Alexander Khloponin, the presidental plenipotentionary representative in the North Caucasus, travelled to Karachayevo-Circassia on April 21st and paid a visit to the Republic Hospital, which he said left him with a pessimistic
impression, YUGA.RU reports.
"We have to make some important steps at republican and federal level to put in order the 'flagship' hospital of Carachayevo-Circassia. These steps include renovation of wards, departments, operating theaters, importing modern equipment and re-education of staff", his press service reports.
The head doctor of the hospital, Irina Gerbenkova, said a lot of money is needed to complete the already commenced renovation of the hospital.
As for Khloponin, he ordered the problem to be considered and concrete suggestions on changing the situation to be made within a week.
