The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport plans to reconstruct the Ziya
Bunyatov Avenue in Baku, according to the head of the Azeroilservice
of the Transport Ministry Javid Gurbanov.
Reconstruction will be carried out between the"Meshadi Azizbekov" to
the "20 January" subway stations, Gurbanov said.
The project includes construction of six road junctions, and movement
of means of communications and may take up to one and a half years to
accomplish.
Gurbanov said that another year may be needed to construct a major
road junction near the "Gyandzhlik" subway station, as one of the
biggest squares is planned to be built there.
They are currently new roads, passes and tunnels being reconstructed
in Baku. Six underground walkways and two small tunnels will be
completed by the end of this year.
